👀 Update: SEC & Bitcoin ETFs

Everyone's been looking at the SEC these days.

And by ‘looking’ I don’t mean Gary’s bald head.

So, SEC’s been deciding on applications for a Bitcoin ETF.

Wtf is an ETF?

Two People Talking A LOT 🗣️

Tho my ex talked a lot more. Only I know what I went through. And that’s why she my “ex”.

👨🏻‍🦲 Mike Novogratz - CEO at Galaxy Digital.

👉 He's out here saying a Bitcoin ETF is gonna happen in the next 4-6 months. His "sources" tell him so. 🤫

🙋🏼‍♀️ Cathie Wood - The boss lady at ARK Investment Management.

👉 She thinks (thinks) the SEC won’t just approve one, but MULTIPLE Bitcoin ETFs.

So, there are currently nine (yes, NINE!) Bitcoin spot ETF applications waiting for the SEC to say "yes" or "no".

Back in October 2021, the SEC said “yes” to ProShares’ Bitcoin futures ETF. And they saw some good cash flow because lots of people jumped in to invest! 💸

Tho in the following days, the competitors launched their ETFs.

(Un)surprisingly, they didn’t get much inflow cuz ProShares had the first-mover advantage.

It’d have been a different scene altogether if the SEC had said yes to all the applications at the SAME time and let the investors decide.

Now, the big question: Will the SEC pick one ETF over the others? 🤔

While all this going on Elon being Elon:

So, if the SEC says "yes" to these ETFs, lots of big investors might start putting their money into Bitcoin.

And the first one to get approval might get the most attention and money.

What's At Stake? 💰

Well, according to Mr. Novogratz, "We're gonna hustle hard to get that market share." 👀

There’s also Grayscale, another big name, who's telling the SEC to treat everyone equally. Everyone should get a piece of the pie!
