😅 2 weeks after Shapella. We good?

It's been almost 2 weeks since the ETH Shapella upgrade, the first major Ethereum upgrade since the Merge in 2022. 🔥

And everyone had their own predictions:

• “ETH to the moon!”

• “ETH to the bottom!”

• “ETH to Valhalla!” (Only a few crypto Vikings were saying this 😅*)*

But how has it actually been so far? 😉

Let’s take a look, under the ETH hood 👇

💰 Staking Inflows

The Shapella upgrade finally unlocked staking withdrawals.

Users can now unstake their ETH and also get their staking rewards. 🔥

There is a total of $39 BILLION that can potentially be unstaked.

And how much has ACTUALLY been unstaked?

Over 1 million ETH → ~$2 billion 😳

But here’s the CRAZY part 👇

Despite people withdrawing ETH, there have been more people who have been re-staking the ETH.

This week the Net ETH Inflow reached 571,950 ETH (or ~$1 billion) 🤯

🏫 Institutions are coming!

Most of these recent deposits have been a mix of institutional and individual investments.

And the institutions have been bringing some BIG money into staking, just in the past 7 days!

• Stakefish → 73.9k ETH

• Staked → 46k ETH

• Kiln Finance → 17k ETH

The institutions staked a combined total of 235k ETH (~$450 million) 🤯

🏆 Restaking Rewards

Whatever rewards people earned from staking…they’re putting it back!

In the first week of the upgrade, people withdrew 900k ETH.

And in the same week, 700k ETH was deposited back. 💰

This is nearly 6x the amount that was deposited the week before the upgrade! 🔥

It shows that people put most of whatever they earned back into staking to EARN EVEN MORE! ⚡️

Doodhwala’s Take:

Post-upgrade staking looks good. 👍

Withdrawals are LOW. 🔻 Deposits are HIGH 🔺

This indicates there is a lot of trust in the system and people are comfortable keeping their money locked.

Most people are even viewing staking as a better option than keeping money in their savings account.

They earn more rewards/interest and they don’t have to worry about the annoying bank lunch breaks. 😅

🚀 Solana NFTs Land on Floor

Floor, that cool mobile NFT portfolio tracking app, is leveling up and reaching for the stars! 🆙

It's expanding its horizon beyond Ethereum to embrace support for Solana NFTs.

And the timing?

Just moments after the legendary mint of Mad Lads, Solana's most sizzling NFT drop in ages. 🤯
