Here’s why Polygon 🤝 Robinhood is SO what we’re waiting for

Polygon is like the Reliance of crypto. It’s in everything rn!

From being blockchain with a native token, to integrating a wallet and bridge to a gaming studio, and even a venture fund.

The only thing Sandeep bhai is not doing is buying up an IPL team.

Well, that could happen soon.

Now, Polygon is partnering with Robinhood, a zero-commission brokerage provider in the 🇺🇸

They’re like the firangi version of Zerodha’s Kite, but with crypto.

0 commission trading : Crypto : : Jalebi : Rabdi

Quick stats on Robinhood:

• Market cap of $8.46 billion (Rs 70,000 crore)

• Monthly active users of 17.3 million

• Assets under custody of nearly $100 billion (Rs 8 lakh crore)

India (with a population 4x that of the US) has not more than 10 million monthly active users across ALL brokerages (including that shady broker your chachu goes to) 👀

So, Robinhood is BIG.

Okay, so what’s happening?

Robinhood hinted at rolling out a web3 wallet a few months ago with a video that was likely made by some dude tripping on spiked milk.

Since then they went quiet.

Only NOW they announced — Polygon is the first blockchain they’re integrating with.

Users will be able to:

• trade + swap crypto

• use DApps

• read the doodhwala 🤞

The reason why we’re so excited about this is — it connect CeFi <> DeFi

For years, crypto exchanges have been trying to build a web3 wallet in-house as an alternative to Metamask or TrustWallet.

Just look at Coinbase Wallet or Binance Wallet. Even Indian exchanges are working on similar products, check this.

These wallets would allow users to:

Load fiat at CeFi exchange → Move to DeFi wallet → Use DeFi apps → Withdraw the funds to the CeFi exchange → Send ETH to the doodhwala

wait, what?

But seriously, if an exchange (or a brokerage) can allow users to access DApps (DeFi + NFTs) this would onboard MILLIONs into web3.

And even make it easy to on and off ramp with traditional bank accounts!

THIS IS MASSIVE 🤩

And doing it with Polygon makes it far easier and cheaper.

Is BAYC a symbol of pedophilia?

Anonymous, the group that makes creepy videos with some dude wearing a Guy Fawkes masks talking like SRK in Ra.One, just called out someone in crypto.

❌ No, it ain’t Do Kwon for creating a ponzi scheme.

❌ No, it ain’t Crypto Youtubers for promoting ponzi schemes.

✅ It’s Yuga Labs, the company behind the biggest NFT collections like Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Cryptopunks, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), and more.

Tbh, I give it a 7/10. No memes, not even a diss track!

Anon alleges that Yuga Labs is using hella discriminatory symbols in the artwork of their NFT collections, especially BAYC.

Okay, we get that some of these are weird af. Like this one, I mean what the hell even is this:

But Anon doesn’t have a problem with the…dope art… of the NFTs, they have issues with:

• monkey as the main character

• BAYC logo

• association with offensive internet culture

Anon is ALSO calling out celebs like:

⚽️ Neymar (that guy who plays with Messi and Mbappe)

🏈 Tom Brady (some American sports dude!)

🧶 Andreessen Horowitz (a VC firm that invests in anything with the name “web3”)

And other Yuga Labs’ NFT holders to call out the company.

They’re even starting an #OccupyBAYC movement.

Yikes!

Will BAYC give in and change the logo to something more wholesome like a panda? 🐼

Bitcoin remains below $20k, and a BIG whale ain’t taking no chances.

Last week, over 510 BTC was moved for the first time in 10 freaking years.

10BTC = $10 million (Rs 78 crore)

This is the 9th time in September that a HUGE chunk of Bitcoin that hasn’t moved in over 5 years is moving around.

In total 6.5k BTC has been moved in Sep 2022, worth $122 million.

Ah damn, let’s hope 🤞 this BTC doesn’t move to exchanges and instead goes to the doodhwala…err…I mean long-term hodling. 😅
