Crypto scams suck no matter who it happens to — the billionaire hedge fund investor, or little pados-wala Raju.

This one hurts real bad.

It involves:

• a crypto conman

• a single mother

• an imp lesson

• Rs 50 lakh

It’s like Tinder Swindler 🤝 Grey’s Anatomy.

The target 👉 A 50-year (sweet) old single mother from the UK.

She recently lost her brother and husband to brain cancer in less than a year.

And the conman, in this case, was a — a Crypto Romeo.

This reminds us of:

He used a tried-and-tested playbook to con this poor woman.

Honestly, it’s exactly like the Tinder Swindler model.

Here’s how he played his scam:

• Find lonely + desperate people on dating sites

• Play the long trust-building game

• Establish a big-daddy crypto persona

• Mention regular crypto investments

• Ask for an initial small investment

• Set up a fake website + email + LinkedIn (to secure the investment)

• Reel in a small investment

• Ask for a larger investment

• Reel in a small investment

• Radio silence

• Ghost

£53,000 or (~ Rs 50 lakh)

And that’s just from one victim.

If our man adopted the full Tinder Swindler playbook, he’s likely playing this game with multiple victims as we speak.

Doodhwala’s take: If anyone pretends to be a crypto savant and always makes CHAAAKAS investments, just walk away.

And for bhagwaan’s sake, don’t give money to anyone to invest in crypto for you, do it yourself (however you’re comfortable with, CEX, DEX).

Do Kwon found in NK 🇰🇵

The new lead in Catch Me If You Kwon — Do Kwon was found.

Where?

South Korea ❌Singapore ❌Sarojini ❌

North Korea 😳

Yeah, Do Kwon was found in — North Korea of all places.

And, he’s been given North Korea citizenship by Kim Jong-un (the second most important Kim in the world but the only Kim to access nuclear bombs, funny how we give importance, right? 🙃)

Kim wants Do to work in NK’s crypto scam division.

Something tells me Do’s got experience in doing something like this. 👀
